Our 2009 Convention will build on the positive experiences of the last four gatherings, which have all contributed to strengthening our national education system. They have helped us focus on who we are, what we stand for in the New Zealand Church, and our contribution to the national community.
The 2009 Convention theme is “Be The Change.” It invites action enabling us both to become better educators and to contribute our values and Catholic knowledge to a fast changing world so it becomes a more just and collaborative global environment. As a Catholic educational community we can “Be The Change” through our collective and individual actions, delivered through inspiration, leadership and service.
The 2009 Convention will provide you with opportunities for personal, professional and spiritual development, time to benefit from the wisdom of other delegates, keynote speakers and seminar presenters, and the opportunity to share your best practice.
The occasion will enable you to interact with and learn from professional educators, trustees, parents, students, pastors, proprietors, diocesan personnel, volunteers and many others who are involved with our Catholic education system and parish communities.

The New Zealand Catholic Education Convention occurs every four years. It brings together hundreds of people - teachers, students, the Bishops of New Zealand, Proprietors of the schools, Boards of Trustees members, parents, priests, and others who work for education in Catholic early childhood, schooling, and at the tertiary level.
